Also 3rd overall, not what they were predicting, and at 10-2 who'd of thought that would be 3rd. I'm pretty happy with it.

Toughest division in a conference in the country. Can you name another conference or especially a division with 5 of the six teams ranked? Heck, we could have 3 in the top 10. I'd take 3rd proudly if the top 3 are all in the top 10 (or let's say one slips right out the top 10 to 11 or 12).

This is an example of lying with statistics. I don't think the folks picking the original rankings predicted Auburn to win the west, nor 3 teams in the west to finish close to top 10 rankings. Let's see, we lost to #2 and what, #8? Not bad at all.

Yeah. Who knew three of the best teams in the country would all be in one division this year. Just isn't fair, if you ask me...LOL!

I'm really not that upset. I guess we REALLY need to pull for Auburn now. If they lose, SC goes to the Sugar and we are third in line for all the traditional West bowls.

Auburn wins, they go to the NC, R-Kansas goes to the Sugar, and we are moved to the top of the list. Weird how one game can sway things so much.

Sorry guys but 3rd place in anything and the word "happy" just isn't in my DNA.

True, but with no QB a poor OL and a horrible OC LSU finishes behind a team that will probably play for the MNC and another that will be BCS bowling. Both losses on the road to top 10 teams. Given the severe handicap our offense is the outcome is not all that bad. We were a decent QB and OC from playing for the MNC.

    Then you have unrealistic expectations.

Well, a lot of LSU folks disagree with you on this issue . . . probably the majority disagree with you here.

Yes. To finish at 10-2 with the issues on offense and competing in the SEC West is nothing to sneeze at. There is another thread talking about Arky players not being all that highly recruited -- well, Arky hit paydirt where it counted, that being the QB position. Having a QB that can execute consistently is the difference. I am very happy with a 10-2 record, especially with many so-called experts saying we were an 8 or 9 win team at best.

Amen... if you're not first then you're nothing. With the talent we have coming in every year we should be competing for the SEC every year, not settling for 3rd or worst... losing to Arky 3/4 seasons is not going to cut it imo. All in all though with some of the issues we had this year, 10-2 aint bad but definately room for improvement.
