Did anyone really believe the SEC was going to stay a league defined as Saban and Urbane everyone else? Really? You bought into that crap? Did you jump up off the sofa and run down to the store and buy the brand of beer they were selling also - because they told you to.

Well when you get to your third year of watching SEC football you'll understand that nobody is going to dominate this league for long periods anymore. How average does Florida look this year? How fast have the birdtigers come back up? Where did Georgia go? The Cocks did what? And LSU is undefeated even with _____(fill in preferred descriptive) running the team. And Bama can't stock the NFL defenses one year and come back the next year as if nothing happened.

The SEC is 12 cousins fighting at the family picnic and even the small cousins can jump up and punch anyone else in the eye. It's incestuous coaching changes and neighbors screaming over the fence during border wars. It's intense and very competitive. It's everything that college football is supposed to be. And it's constantly changing.

upset alert?, I think Herbie picked Bama to get upset three weeks in row, just so they could say 'Herbie picked it!' when they lost. as for the flags, I never fly any, but my tag is still on, I saw an SUV in Atlanta yesterday with 6 on it, maybe he is stealing them?
doesn't matter really where Bama is now in the West. Being 3rd sounds worse than it really is. probably why it was phrased it like that. win out, and things are in Crimson order.
LSU has a better team with better talent, Auburn has the better player, both are scary. oh, and No worries here.

Might not be worried, but I doubt your as confident as you were a week ago. And the two biggest teams left on your schedule are more confident. Not the best of combinations for the Tusked ones.

actually, truth be known, I was worried before the Duke game, and get nervous for every game. I guess I should qualify my statement by saying not worried more than usual.

That's just getting your game face on - as a fan. I have no reason to be worried about tonight - but I am. It's all part of it.

Because of the long term rivalries and memories (I remember Johnny V and 1958, and who can forget the Bear) the Tide and Rebs are my two second favorite SEC teams. Can't root for anyone tonight but I hope it's a good football game - good injury luck to both teams. Enjoy!

Agreed. All 3 control their own destiny, so it will all get sorted out on the field.

Sorry. I can't let this go by. No offense, but the score doesn't tell the whole story. Let's take a look at the stats:

    First downs:

    Florida: 17
    Alabama: 18

    Florida 12
    LSU: 20

    Rushing Yards:

    Florida: 79
    Alabama: 170

    Florida: 89
    LSU: 161

    Passing Yards:

    Florida: 202
    Alabama: 103

    Florida: 154
    LSU: 224

    Total Offensive Yards:

    Florida: 281
    Alabama: 273

    Florida: 243
    LSU: 385

Here's the true tale of two games:

    Turnovers:

    Florida: 4
    Alabama: 0

    Florida: 2
    LSU: 2

I've said it before and I'll say it again - over the last two years, Alabama has been the most charmed team in the land. Would they even have a crystal football if Colt McCoy had not been injured on the first drive of the NC game?
