What are the rules regarding review, anyway? Are certain plays automatically reviewed, and others based on whether the officiating crew and/or booth deem it so? It all seems arbitrary to me now.
The current rules in the SEC regarding questionable calls is as follows: ‘All issues directed to the home office in Birmingham will be ruled in favor of Lsu’s opponents because Alabama will always regard LSU as its number one threat’
I think booth reviewed, relayed to field the play would stand, and the refs relayed to O not to waste his TO. That was kind of hinted at in post-game, I think. Not a great argument on O’s behalf. Seems unlikely they overturn it, though.
I turned the game off after the targeting call. I said to myself if they call this targeting I’m not watching college football anymore because clearly this isn’t it. Call upheld, television off. No more. LSU should move to the Big 12.
F no. UT pays refs too. LSU just needs to figure that into their athletic budget. aTm has plenty of oil to grease the palms of officials. Of course, hire a competent staff and that takes care of itself.
If a call were to benefit LSU that Kate Upton had nice tits the Gump Central office would overrule it.
Agree. All of the major conferences have bullshit going on in them. I’m pissed at the SEC this year and I’m sure those goddamned rednecks in Birmingham don’t like us anyway. But bullshit is bullshit and it is everywhere. I’m too old for this shit. Lol
