like i said, i didnt challenge anyone's right to be opinionated, nor am i irrational. i do genuinely want to punch truthers in the face, which obviously is an ordinary reaction.

most absurd myths are from the past and people are told them and they are already established. this one is fascinating because it is really modern and i watch it as it develops. it is interesting to see how people lie to themselves, and how they are not only not opposed to lies, but they seek them out and try with all their might to believe them. i dont see why the rest of you are not as curious about this as i am.

like yunno how some truthers believe the pentagon was hit by a missile? contained chaos believed that. and they had to explain away the disappearance of all the people on the plane. and instead of abandoning the missile theory, they chose to invent a story for the plane. so all the family members lost people on that plane because they have been secreted away to narnia or whatever. and the people who believe this, they are not even joking, at least i dont think they are. how is that possible? know what i mean? that doesn't make you lose faith in the species?

I just say they're dumbasses and go from there. People believe what they want to believe. Logic dictates they assemble facts as best they can, then come up with a logical solution. However, in most instances, this is not the case. They have a "gut" feeling aboout a particular issue based on their own experience and biases, then assemble facts to support that gut feeling. Of course, none of their facts exist in a vacuum, so they latch on to what someone else said or wrote in an attempt to validate their own lunacy.

its not that big a deal. you see it in many forms all the time.
people get hung up on specific facts or details that they cant get past based on their life experiences or lack of. i dont think its as intentional as you surmise. they are just stuck on stupid regarding some things.

plus we've convinced everyone the govt is evil which they are. so its only a byproduct they are blamed for everything seen and unseen. its cute in your kid cussing kind of way.

no they arent joking. people question everything. its human nature. plus, we are conditioned not to believe anything we see or hear nowadays. we trust nothing. its understandable to an extent. people so distrust the government they forget they are completely incompetent.

    its all somewhat relative.

so you had faith to begin with?

i have faith in people ive learned through their actions are good people.

    the species? hell ****ing no.

but that isnt it. the truther does believe what they see and hear, but only if it is crazy. they are insanely credulous. they believe things easily. they will believe something so crazy you cant be sure if they are serious.

have you listened to what our guy here believes? it is as if he is retarded. seriously. it makes no sense at all.

i am not exaggerating. i am 100% serious. the guys is not retarded, we know that, right? but look at what he is saying. it doesnt make any sense. how can a person say that stuff and at the same time not be wearing a helmet and velcro shoes?

again, that is not a joke. i mean it. i dont understand how an adult can be so stupid. thats why i am so interested.

    i guess.

Apparently, we don't teach people how to think anymore. Just what to think. Tragic.

I work near an airport and have gotten to know a lot of pilots. (A great job, by the way...if I had to do it over again....travel the world, work 15 days a month...stewardesses....exotic food....stewardesses....and from what I hear as a pilot you get to know a lot of stewardesses....)

Anyway, if you get the pilot discuss 9/11 they all have trouble with there being no tail section in the wreckage. Apparently the tail section of this type of plane is huge and always survives the crash to some degree. One of them even said...."the crash site looked more like a missle or something. And who has access to cruise missles?".

But I'll revist this topic at a later date. I'm letting 9/11 marinate a bit before I dive in again.

    1. you are lying. pilots are not that stupid.

    2. there was a tail section in the wreckage, along with the rest of the plane and the bodies of people who were murdered, who should not be disrespecting by accusing them of being part of a conspiracy.

I got this from an article supporting the official story. There is no mention of a tail section and no picture of a tai

    .

No lying here....actually chatted with the pilots about this fairly often.

No offense Einstein, but if landing gear, turbofan engine and fuselage are there, I don't need a piece of the tail to tell me it was an airplane.
