Speaking about that..what do ya'll think will be Miles' lasting legacy at LSU? I mean after the sting of the break-up is past. I'm sure a lot will depend on how the program responds to the seemingly inevitable change, but how do ya'll think Tiger fans will remember Les? The 4th downs, fake FGs and punts, last second wins, SEC titles, NC....or, will it be for wasted opportunities and stagnant 1960s offense?
He will be remembered as a great guy that did a lot of good things but was the biggest obstacle in his own way. Most fans will look back and ask what could have been if he would have hired an offensive mind and allowed him full control of all that talent. It certainly worked more than it didn't on the defensive side of the ball. He should have used the same approach, hire a good OC, help recruit the talent and then get out of the way.
You have no idea what you're talking about, Corky. How can I say he was wasted at LSU? Because he was. It doesn't mean I hate Miles. Far from it. I'm just voicing an opinion shared by many. You also seem to be under the flawed assumption that, just because he's not an all pro that his talent hasn't been developed in the NFL. The fact that he's even on an NFL roster and has been for nearly 3 years now should tell you all you need to know. He's a contributor and performing at a level better than anyone else has for the role the team has put him in. And if he wasn't he'd be gone by now.
all of it. the gaffes. the mad hatter. the madonna headset. wheres my wife. fake punt from our own ez. katrina. undefeated in regulation. the nc. the undefeated season. the mulligan. my damn strong football team. clock it!(I never said clock it). no chest. the greatest era before jimbo took over. and what coulda and shoulda been.
RS played plenty. He couldn't catch the ball in college. Glad to see he's on a roster - but six career NFL catches does not tell me that he should've been a massive difference-maker at LSU.
He switched to receiver in 2010. Here are some of the WR's on the roster each year. 2010 - Terrence Tolliver, Ruben Randle, James Wright (all drafted NFLers) 2011 - James Wrigth, Jarvis Landry, Odell Beckham Jr. (all drafted NFLers) 2012 - James Wright, Jarvis Landry, Odell Beckham Jr. (all drafted NFLers) and Travin Dural Maybe he could have gotten more PT in 2011 as those guys were all young but OBJ and Landry were pretty damn good as freshmen. Sometimes, it just doesn't work out for some guys.
Uh...guys, let's not act like Shepard is setting the world on fire. He got a TD in a game against philly that was over. His output fantasy wise this season? 7 points for the year. He had .6 in the first game of the year in non PPR and 6.4 in the philly game. Which means he has racked up 10 yards of offense and 1 TD.
