Caught a TD from Winston today. At the risk of piling on, he's the prime example of NFL talent that was underutilized and underdeveloped while at LSU. Our offensive brain trust could never figure out how to use him effectively.

Underutilized doesn’t begin to describe it.

I can't even process this sarcastically.

I get sick every time I think about how Miles wasted Shepard's talent for 4 years.

How can you say that? Is he a QB in the league as so many claimed he was???? RS has been in the league several years and just caught his first TD. That's not exactly tearing it up. RS is a great athlete and I'm damn happy for him but it has taken nearly a decade for him to become a receiver, if in fact he has. You can't have it both ways guys. He was and is fast but was undersized and had a lot to learn before he has become a minimal level pro. You are blinded by what you wish and the fantasies you dream up.

The guy has hung around in the NFL for years. He has freaky speed and athleticism, but like with most athletes Miles couldn't figure out a way to get him the ball in space. It's been the same broken record for a decade.

So what's taken the Tampa coaches so long? Why haven't they been able to get more out of him? Miles had 20 HRs/week and less over much of the year and as a pro he has unlimited time yet he has done little but be a special teams player. You blame everything on Miles for every failure and ignore when others have no more success. I guess you're a broken record and have only one line....'it's Miles fault'. Pathetic

If you can make an NFL practice squad, it's a MAJOR accomplishment. The fact that he's been part of an NFL 53 man roster for a few years now is damn impressive. Who cares if today was his first receiving TD. No one is claiming he's an all Pro, but he's doing something right or you can bet your ass he would have been cut long ago.

Sport as I said I'm damn happy for him. YOU used it as an example of Les wasting talent. It won't fly. Yes he has talent but it took longer in the NFL than he had in college to develop the skill required. How can you say he was wasted at LSU when he obviously didn't have the skill and it took longer in the pros to develop it than he had at LSU? Like I said you're blinded by hatred.

The fact is Les Miles had NFL talent sitting on the bench. Which is the point and is also stupid.
