I haven't watched enough of their games this year to grade them.

Nice teaser title. I thought you were gonna say 'that voted them No.1'.

"Say hello to your heel, Achilles. A pudding-soft schedule did nothing to prepare OSU for its championship encounter. The Buckeyes dealt with boys all year, so it's no wonder they weren't up to the challenge when faced with real men from LSU. How about two nonleague games vs. BCS schools?"

    Nicely put.

I gave them an A for the season. As bitter as I am right at the moment, if you told me coming into the season they would finish as a top 5 team at 11-2 and beat michigan, i wouldve been tickled pink. I honestly expected a 3-4 loss season coming in without a BCS bowl, after losing Troy, Teddy Ginn, Anthony Gonzalez, Antonio Pittman, etc.
that being said, it was another very bitter end, losing in the NC game 2 years in a row. It's going to take a while to get over this one :(

Yes, but I've learned my lesson. I should've paid closer attention to your rants about it. :hihi:

Y'know, now I feel a little vindicated. Weeks prior to the NCG I started a thread commenting on this exact same thing. I almost said it verbatim. Within minutes I had OSU folks all over me about it, plus a few (Tiger fans). All I really said was that LSU should win this game because they were battle tested all season! Now one of their own damn websites is saying the same thing...Man, I just hate it when I,m right!:thumb:

I'd give them an A-. Like Bucknut said, no one realistically expected Ohio State to be a great team this year. We were losing our entire offense including two first round picks and the Heisman winner, Michigan was supposed to dominate and I picked us for a 2-3 loss season and going to a non BCS bowl game.

Only reason they get the - is for the lack of discipline and composure in the MNC. 5 personal foul penalties? 1 of them resulting in a missed TD/blocked FG/momentum swinging play, then another on a 4th and 23 to give LSU an automatic first down. The youth of our squad was very evident.

The good thing is that if Lauranitis, Gholston and Jenkins come back (which isn't going to happen), we should be even better next year.

How do you not get an "A" when you win your major conference, beat MI (and hold them to under 100 yards of offense), and go to the NCG? Man, you guys are hard graders, I sure am glad you weren't my professors.
