I hope this turns out to be accurate, but it's hard for me to believe Benson will shell out this kind of money for a DB; even though he's probably worth it unless he turns out to be a product of the system ala Jason David.

I hate the fact that the salaries are out of control but would love to see us spend money in the defensive backfield.

For longtime Saints fans...we can name great QBs, RBs, WRs, TEs, OLs, DLs, LBs, and even Ks & Ps that have played in New Orleans over the years BUT try to name a few in the secondary. I started my list with Tommy Myers and then had a problem adding any others.

the salaries are chump change in comparison to a teams revenue. the owners are getting off easy. the salary cap allows them to make a killing.

 

talks are heating up of 2012 not having a cap.

 

In that case, I predict that by 2020, the NFL will resemble MLB.
