How many Louisiana coaches or former players turned coaches did Saban or Miles have on their Championship coaching rosters? I know Miles hired Webster Iin 2012, but that was after the tremendous 2011 SEC Championship season. Can't remember many Louisianians on either Saban's or Miles's Championship coaching rosters. Maybe I'm missing a few? I'm not taking sides on the loading up the Cajun bandwagon or with the Kelly hire. I still have no opinion of the new coach, as of now.
How long did it take Kelly to get in front of a recruit? 10 days at least. He will learn the 1st time he stops at a Chevron off of Nicholson that he isn't in Indiana anymore. So he is firing all of the recruiters that have relationships built while not visiting any himself. Got it, sounds like a winning plan to me.
I'm reserving any judgement until 1) The man actually fields a team, and 2) I see the performance of said team. Until then it's all bullshit really.
Agreed, so far he isn't recruiting and he is firing everyone that was. Doesn't seem like continuity is a thing with him. Like I said, on NSD we will have a sack of rocks and a wish sammich
You need to do some research before you make another in a long list of idiotic statements about Kelly. He spoke to and met with recruits his first day in Baton Rouge. He's currently on the road recruiting as I type this.
Bottom line here folks is Brian Kelly came here to win National Championships. Let's cut the guy a little slack until we see what kind of product he can put-on the field. Right now all this hand wringing over what he has or hasn't done is a waste. Personally I think we're looking at Saban 2.0. Saban is noted for "house cleaning" when he takes over a program and like Saban he seems more process oriented than outcome oriented. Let's let the guy do the job LSU is paying him $9.5 million a year for. There"ll be plenty of time later on when we can crucify him if it ain't workin' out.
