For reasons I don’t understand, pole vaulting is really big in Sweden. He’s a celebrity over there, and got himself a Swedish model girlfriend. Not NFL money by any means, but he’s doing alright.
... and Curling is in the Winter Olympics. I'd wager you could ask 100, hell maybe 1000 people who the best curler in the world and not one of them could properly answer without Google.
Not really LSU has a long and deep history of superior track and field athletes. We have Olympic gold medals from 1936 at least through today. I remember when the stands at Bernie Moore were filled while baseball had hundreds at Alex Box. a true LSU fan would know that.
