When the right talent and the right coaching comes together. That's when we make the playoffs. We're not manufacturing Championships like Alabama and never were with Les Miles. @CajunlostinCali said it best. We (as fans) didn't hire Coach O. We didn't vote and elect him. Our AD shit the bed in his lack of a coaching search and took the path of least resistance. But as fans we need to support Coach O, his staff and the entire LSU Football Program. I understand the underwhelming feeling most fans are having. It feels like we started a new job just so we could quit a job we hated. If this one doesn't work out, there will be other jobs I'm sure of it. It's football, enjoy the ride. What do any of us fans personally lose from LSU missing the playoffs this season? For that matter, what do we gain? I get it's why we play. But it won't ruin my season or my memories. Geaux Tigers!
Not that Miles was a bad coach, it's just despite all his success, it could've been even better had he stayed out of his own way.
Unlike others in this thread, I'm not rooting for LSU to lose so I can say I told you so. I'll be happy to be wrong.
9-3 prob another season without a quality win unless Auburn is as hot a turd as press is trying to make us believe they are . By 2018 the near irreparable harm inflicted by Elmer era should finally be rusting away.
