All those mondo burritos are sloppy inauthentic messes to me. A burrito should be small enough to eat with one hand. Anything on a burrito except frijoles, onion, cheese, salsa, and meat is too much.
I like my burritos filling and filled with what I want in them. Izzo's is far from the worst place to eat. It hits the spot when you're starving.
Portabellos is not very good but they have one thing there that I always crave. The overstuffed mushrooms are the bomb. I usually just get 2 orders to go and I am good for the day.
Calendar's and Joe's Crab Shack both have a nice urine smell. Los Gallos on Seigen was horrible. We went there once. The waiter was nice, but after two bites we asked for 2go boxes. When we left we pulled into the gas station next door and through away the food, then went to the movies. I don't count places like chili's and applebees. They are what they are.
You have to know what to order in fern bars. Chilli's makes a decent burger. You can go to one in a strange town and find a decent burger and a cold draft beer. The rest of the menu is a waste of money . . . especially the chili.. Calendars never did anything right. Nobody ever went back or tried another one.
Schlitz and Giggles has terrible pizza. I've never seen so much grease... you pick up a slice and its dripping.
That was my assessment. It's the kind of place to get a few beers and a slice. A whole pie is a heart attack on a pan.
