How is it? I've never actually sat in the uppers before. I've been in the student section and the lower end zone corners before, but never up top. It sure looks way up there from down below.
Another question, and it's probably been asked before, but what is the process to get season tickets? I know you have to make a donation to TAF or whatever, how much is that? I moved to TX after graduation and just moved back to LA. I'm on the waiting list for Saints tickets but I'd like to look into LSU tickets as well.
I sat way up (East Upper) last year for the Arkansas game. Until all the folks filled in around me, I was not a fan of being way up there. I felt like I was going to fall out of the stands. On the other hand, I had a beautiful view of the river and a gorgeous sunset, and the view for the actual game was pretty good. Great, in fact. I was able to watch every play unfold and really see the offenses' and defenses' positions. I'll be up there again for the WVU game.
It's about time. Taco Bell was way too far away from campus. The lines at that place after midnight were ridiculous, too.
Really? I don't eat Taco Bell, can't stomach the stuff, but they'll make a killing. All of my friends would constantly lament how far the College Dr. location was from campus.
the old west uppers were the worst! man, that was a steep incline. but, you really do get a great view of the play unfolding.
I guess it just depends on what you're used to and what you like. I've got good seats in the lower bowl and I sat just under the upper deck once and hated it. I can tolerate the view from the suites because...it's the suites and the perks make up for the distance. Sorry but the upper decks are just too far away from everything.
The most fun I've ever had in the stadium was the Arkansas game in '07 (well, except for the outcome). It was my older daughter's first game in Tiger Stadium (she's proud to be attending her 3rd game there for WVU), and we had seats on the first row of the ground level in the South endzone. I have pictures of her with LSU and Arkansas cheerleaders, and the players were so close up in that endzone. But, otherwise, I had to watch the screens to see the game. But the atmosphere down there was incredible, and she (being 6) had lots of room to move about and not get restless.
