Ya'll know I'm Dickson's biggest fan. This guy is awesome. He's a very very nice and humble guy. He's very cool. Very smart. Very athletic.....and very very underrated. Thanks for starting this thread and giving my boy some props. I'm sure he appreciates it too.
I agree and Ive been saying this (well something like this) for a long time now. He blocks well, hes basically a magnet when the bal is thrown to him, he moves very well for a large guy, and he makes the clutch catch as well. What more do you want from a TE? Hes been so good, he has beaten out a senior for playing time, if not made it as the starter. Ive been very, very impressed with this young man and I look forward to seeing him develop further.
no way to speculate that... zinger brings a lot of things to our team that dickson doesn't... while I love what dickson brings to the table for us, there's no way to speculate what would have happened when... had dickson been in the game on some of those key run plays we pulled off with zinger in the game, maybe he doesn't make those blocks... all three of the tight ends bring something to the team and are contributors, you can't start splitting hairs and blaming an entire loss on one play in the red zone... we had plenty of opportunities before and after that incompleted pass and came up short... even on that one play, flynn had another open receiver closer to him but went to the back of the end zone... that's to the best of my memory, I could be wrong
you're probably right, it was a pretty simple catch, but you can't just go saying that we would have won the game had dickson been in the game, etc... maybe the defense pays more attention to dickson, knowing he's more of a receiving threat, flynn throws a pic, and we don't even get the three points? again, it's splitting hairs, but to blame a loss on one player for one poor play is pretty harsh
I knew Dickson was a phenom when i started him in NCAA '08 in my Dynasty. He ended up starting every year and was my primary receiver his Jr. year (although I had to talk him out of going pro 2 years in a row :lol. The only downside I see to him is his blocking, but I think taking the reps he is getting this year, he will do nothing but get better and better. Antonio Gates better watch out in a couple years.
I don't know if anyone pinned the loss on Zinger. BUT...all I'm saying is in the same scenario, coverage, play call....EVERYTHING the same....Dickson catches that ball. It's water under the bridge and it's not something that I dwell on....it's simply an observation that I made half a second after the ball was dropped. Love the passion, upsizin!:thumb:
I don't mean to seem like I'm disagreeing w/ you or picking on you....but what's wrong with Dickson's blocking? I'm confused.
atta boy to great play by Dickson. I love his play and determination as well as his being a true team player. :geauxtige
