    Marlon Favorite:

“First of all, the regular option is a difficult play to play against,” Favorite said. “So when you have triple option, it’s obviously a little more mind-boggling. But I think if every player listens to the coaches and plays their part, it’s going to be easy. It’s a very clever play, and obviously they have great athletes to run it.”
    ...
Asked if they were ready for that look, Favorite...went so far as to offer up a “Ooooh. Not really. Well, once we watch film on it. … ”
    ...
“We’ll have to get in the film room and watch a lot of film on those guys, see what type of tendencies they have,” Jackson said. “We know they have a real great offense we’re about to face.

“They basically destroyed the ACC running that type of offense. We’ll have to sit down with our coaches and watch film for a long time to decipher their offense and figure out what’s going on.”
    ...
“I’m looking forward to playing against it,” Favorite said. “I know it’s going to be difficult.”

one of the reasons defending the triple option isn't easy because you don't have anybody to practice against. You're asking a lot of a goon squad to line up and run the triple option as efficiently as GT does.

Can LSU do it? Absolutely, but playing assignment football is easier said than done.

Dec 9 -- WANTED: BOWL TICKET BUYERS: LSU will be keeping its ticket office opened later than usual this week to sell Chick-Fil-A Bowl tickets, which are not yet in very high demand as far as LSU fans are concerned.

The ticket office in the administration building next to Tiger Stadium will be open an extra hour until 6 p.m. this week and from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, a day that the office is often closed. Then from 5:30 p.m. until halftime of the 7 p.m. LSU-Grambling State men’s basketball game Saturday, Chick-Fil-A tickets will be available at the ticket windows of the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.

In a rare move, the ticket office will open on Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. to sell Chick-Fil-A tickets.

Tickets can also be purchased on the LSUsports.net website and by calling 1-800-960-TKTS or 225-578-2184.
    Ticket prices start at $60.

LSU athletic director Joe Alleva has written an open letter to LSU fans on the LSUsports.net website, urging fans to go to Atlanta to support the team against Georgia Tech, which will be playing essentially a home game. Tech is located just a few blocks from the Georgia Dome in downtown Atlanta.

“Come to Atlanta, wear purple and cheer on your team,” Alleva says in the letter. “New Year’s with the Tigers is a great LSU tradition, and we want to keep the tradition alive.”

Yeah, I think GT is better than Arkansas or Troy. And they did beat Georgia. They also beat Miss St 38-7, while we only beat Miss St 34-24.

Fact: Our LB's will consistantly get caught up in traffic, get blocked out of the play, and be out of position all day. This type of run heavy assignment will be difficult for our LB's and I gurantee that #54 Cutera is hating life already. I think the game hinges on how well Chad Jones can come up and make stops and whether the D-Line shows up or not.

Cutrera and the team haven't even started practice yet:

LSU returns to practice Sunday and will work out through Dec. 22. LSU will fly to Atlanta on Christmas day and resume practice Dec. 26. ... LSU plays Georgia Tech at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 31
    http://www.2theadvocate.com/sports/lsu/featured/35781184.html

The LSU players were off practice for dead week now they are taking their final exams (final exams at LSU are from Dec 8 to Dec 13). When they are done with exams, they have 1 week and 2 days of practice at LSU (Dec 13 to Dec 22), then 5 days of practice in Atlanta (Dec 26 to Dec 30)... 2 weeks of practice total.
