And there it is. The voice of reason. If by "grow into it" he meant Les would get much worse, then he hit the hammer on the nail.
Or it could end up being more like 2010 or 2006. With our offense, I'm leaning more in one direction than the other.
I do not think that when you have 8 years of reference and thousands of people say "they win in spite of Miles" is just noise. Sure, he makes some great calls, but most of all of those were in his 2007 run. Now, most of his calls look like he thought them up while sitting on the can. 10 wins is gravy, it really is. I was just under the impression that when you have top 1-3 talent, put more kids in the NFL and pay the guy top 5 in the country you would be competing for more titles. I dunno, to me all the sings are that 10 wins is the worst we should do nowadays. I just don't think great coaches call a time out with 3 seconds left for a FG kick when 28 were on the clock. Or that you basically quit playing football when up by more than 7. Or trying to spike the ball with no time on the clock ??? Or assume that just b/c you had one good option play in the 1st Bama game that your entire game plan in the NC should revolve around it.
For this year, by the time all is said and done, I would like to think that our offense will have picked up the defense and prevent a 2008 type finish. As Stacey said above, maybe more like 2010 or 2006. We have a senior QB, 2 stud receivers, and a stud RB. As long as we return over the last 4 games to what was successful the first 6. I really believe we can beat Bama and A&M. And who knows, maybe we get some inspired defensive play down the stretch, where the light bulb goes on for these guys.
