I dont know anything for certain. Im not sure about his arm. Im just saying that the blind followers always point to his arm and lack of knowledge of the playbook as to why he isnt playing. When he was in at QB it did appear he was too uncertain. So I agree there. Fact is though Shepard should be in the game a lot more at other positions. Also he still needs to make a few throws here and there at QB. Doesnt need to be anything fancy, just enough to keep the D honest.
I don't see it happening. If they won't dump an OC who's offense has gone from #9th to #51st to #110th in the nation after 3 seasons (basically sucking more than twice as bad as the year before each season under his control)... with a much smaller buy out than Miles... I think they'll wait until the end of the '11 season before letting him go if/when they decide to let him go.
Totally agree here. If for nothing else, to at least make the defense think a little before they move everyone into the box when he's on the field.
I like Miles, but I'd like to know how many times this year we lined up in the I formation and THREW the ball, if any. It seemed to me every single time it was a handoff for one, maybe two yards. And you knew it was coming before it happened. The bowl win over Georgia Tech was a tremendous game to build upon. What happened???
at some point he may want to pass on some of these locker room truths to the AD or face the firing squad like Fulmer and Cutcliff. I suspect that there are a few questions from people that DO matter besides us people who dont matter here on the forum. I bet they dont get the same coach speak the Gen public does lol
I can promise you that they do not. Someone I am very close to hears things a whole lot different than the media. Remember this is Louisiana we're talking about, back room dealings still go on.
Actually, there were a few TD throws to LaFell out of the I formation. I can't remember them off the top of my head, but I had almost posted them a couple of months back in response to this same question so I know that we did. Now I wish I would have made that post...
I think his TD reception in the bowl game was out of the I. Jefferson saw something and checked out of a running play at the line and hit Lafell for a long one. Funny, when Jefferson checked out of passing plays into a run, it got stuffed every time. I think they had found a deceptive look that spoofed him into changing the play into a run that they were waiting for. But when he checked out of the run into a pass out of the I . . . he caught them napping.
