No. I don't consider the past two 11 win top five teams "squandering". What would you say Carroll or Meyer has done this year, then, given your impossible standards?
khounba yes its a long stretch when besides USC no one has had as much talent as LSU...again we had a golden stretch of talent that didnt bring home a title not even a conference title.
Says who? You? Not sure why everyone thinks LSU and USC are the only college football teams with talent. Maybe because that's what the media feeds you. But UGA and UF have just as much talent, and aren't even in the SECCG this year. They should fire Meyer and Richt. Because in our fantasy world if you can't win a championship every year, you aren't getting the job done.
PAY ATTENTION this time around. LSU is NOT the only team in the SEC, let alone the country that has NC caliber talent. UNDERSTAND?!!? We had NC caliber talent in '04 and lost 3 games. We had pretty close to the same team in '02 and lost 5 games. Urban Meyer has NC talent this year, and lost 3 games, and didn't qualify for the SEC CG. Bama has more talent in Sarah Parkers left nut than UL-M has had in the last 20 years combined. USC has had NC caliber talent the lst 2 years with nothing to show for it. WE WILL NOT WIN EVERY YEAR!!!! It's not gonna happen. We are not entitled to it, we don't have much more talent than the rest of the powerhouses that hover around the top 10, and we play a pretty tough schedule evry year. Get over it!!! It's freaking done. We're not the phucking Patriots. Wait, maybe they should fire Bellicheat. That was a close call last night at home against the Eagles back-up QB. Now gely, listen to this one carefully. The SEC is stronger now than it was just 2 years ago. It is tougher now than it was when your savior Saban was here. Yet only 1 has he ever had a season with fewer than 2 conference losses. But now that the SEC is the deepest it has been in a couple of decades, you expect even better than that? Are you serious?!!?
I think the frustrating part to a lot of people is we had all of the pieces put together. You can find small holes but all teams have them, but ours were mainly small. Our '04 team really did not have a shot at all because of QB play and because of the schedule. This year we had everything set up and I think a lot of people are disappointed that we didn't do it because this was one of the easiest seasons to do it. Truth is, there are no easy seasons.
simple answer i would have never hired miles anyway. guys every coach is going to lose a game i know this, but whe u are being blatantly out coached i mean come on. if we lose cuz we got played or just didnt get a break thats understandable an wouldnt be writing this... but can either one one if u on this board say with a straight face that every lost we have had this year wasnt because of some boneheaded calls... example 4 straight runs to end the game against kentucky i could point to more bad calls but that one is enough. example 4 and arkansas has the ball our front 4 hasnt pressured the QB all day and you dont make the call to send a blitz, result the guy takes a nap in the backfield then delivers a strike 4 a 1st down...if any of u say other wise you are lieing
Vince Lombardi made a few mistakes in his day, too. And Bill Walsh would have struggled to win with the kind of injuries LSU has now. Give Bill Belichick a mediocre QB with a noodle arm, and he'd lose a couple as well. No, CLM ain't perfect. Nevertheless, I'll take 32-6 in the toughest conference in America. :milesmic:
Averaging 5.2 yards per carry that game 5.2 x 4 = 20.8 yards. 4th and 2 with Scott in the backfield, I like my chances in that one. While I'll agree that a blitz should have been called, Dick didn't take a nap. In fact, in the game I was watching, he was scrambling and running away from Tyson Jackson (that guy wearing a white Jersey with the #93 in the backfield with him) who was pressuring him. If you say otherwise, you are lying. (see, I even spelled lying right)
