Aside from all the other things posted since 10:30 last night like coaching, play calling, lack of offense, lack of preparation, JJ, yadda yadda.. The thing that really sucks is when you watch your team soar undefeated all season only to watch them burst into flames and auger in to the ground at the end. Any other time in the season, and you've always got that "next game" to kick the crap out of someone to make you feel better. Not this season. A 13-1 season is no less spectacular looking back at what the team accomplished and who they beat. But human nature is to remember the most recent events the most clearly. This one's going to sting for a while. With that said, it was a hell of a ride. I'm proud of our football team, and believe it or not, I'm still a Les Miles fan even though from time to time he makes it pretty difficult to be such. I hate it for the team that the season had to end like it did. Looking forward to spring ball. :geaux:
I think the thing that I can't let go of is how bad I feel for the defensive players who worked their asses off all season to be the best defense LSU has ever had. It kills my spirit to think of those kids and how even just a little support could have resulted in victory last night. And what a slap in the face it is to them to have Jordan Jefferson come out and say he played well. They should escort him out of Baton Rouge immediately so he doesn't poison any other player.

LSU just sort of quit - like "what's the point? when Mathieu, a Heisman Trophy finalist is sitting on the bench dazed - because he's giving it all - shutting down Bama and Miles, being stubborn, stuck with a failing game plan. Who in their right mind speeds up the flow of the game for Jefferson? He barely keeps up with a second clock. Lost as a team badly and was embarrassed - Bama's defense is good - but not better than ours and our offense practices against one of the best defenses in the country - yet they had a gameplan with our offense and we didn't. If Alabama whines about it's National Championship, it's a hollow cheer. If the roles were revcersed and LSU won round two and had lost at home to Bama - I'd feel the same.
Actually they can. Sure, the record book says what it says, but Alabama can say and will say that they really are the best in the SEC. And they proved that they were because of some of the **** we pulled last night. Appreciate the support though. Thanks. :thumb:
Not really. It just creates a paradox. How can Alabama be the best team in the country if they aren't the best team in their conference or division?
To this point, Alabama is the first non-conference champ title winner since 1936. BCS cluster **** is what that is.
The long layoff helped Bama and their meticulous planning and hurt us with our style and momentum. This January 9th and playing on a work day crap has to go. The final football game should be on a Holiday, New Years Day, like it used to be.
