Doesn't make much sense and it won't be a compelling argument but I believe she is trying to say that if restrictions on land and closer to shore were looser, than deep drilling would not be pursued, and therefor accidents in deep water would not be happening. Accidents which we seem to lack the technology or expertise to deal with properly. There is some truth to that but she is not really clear in her msg, and it will be ignored regardless of who states it. The rest of it is just hooey.
She has also in the past lambasted environmentalists who said deepwater drilling was dangerous. Now deepwater drilling is risky and the reason we do it is because of environmentalists!?! What really saddens me is that many otherwise smart folks are so confused by the (R) behind her name that they fail to see she is a moron.
So the wacky enviros are having their way on land and not at sea. Oil companies will drill wherever they can. Obviously many onshore areas are wrapped up in red tape and have been for quite some time. The offshore sites are out of site, out of mind. Well, until now. Ok, you're making a whole lot of sense there.
i disagree. in that i think we would be drilling ALL of those places. in the search for more domestic oil, we are gonna drill where ever we can. even if anwr is opened, if deep offshore drilling is permitted, it will happen. its not gonna be either/or. its gonna be ALL.
GIve me a real example. Only to the vastly uninformed public. Offshore drilling is pushing the envelop and always has and always will. There is a lot of oil out there all around the world. Opening up one wildlife reserve in Alaska is not going to affect exploration anywhere else. Deep water exploration will not be affected by ANWR at all. Palin is a colossal idiot.
and what conclusion would that be? unless you are calling me the dude from office space, and if that is the case, well............. you are a meanie.
I don't see where she said environmentalists are at fault for the oil rig exploding. That's what you said.
