My bashing was more on the Bama fans than it was Saban. They seem to think Luther Davis is gonna get all LA recruits to go to Bama, and I think it's funny. That's it.:thumb:
On a Bama forum, while talking about this guy, they questioned whether this would turn Ahmad Paige off, and somebody asked if he was still interested in Bama. It was alluded to that Bama was no longer interested in Paige!!! http://www.tigerforums.com/showpost.php?p=548328&postcount=14 Maybe that's because it had become PAINFULLY obvious that Paige's interests lay elsewhere.
The two original guys (Darius Hanks and Chris Underwood) are still unranked. Saban picked up a former Vandy commit (Kareem Jackson) that was unranked (or had a few stars) and now is a four star. Funny, he only gets interest from Uconn, Vandy, Akron, Ohio, and Bowling Green and the day after he de-commits from Vandy and commits to Bama he gets re-ranked with "newly released video." More like someone over at BOL was pushing.
I was going to say that. I am sure the auburn fans are bitching up a storm, which is quite understandable.:thumb:
Lol. It's only time before new video surfaces of the two other guys and they'll become four stars too. Just wait.
I think its very possible. We should be skeptical of the rankings of Bama's recruits for a little while, IMO. There are a few reasons - 1, the recruiting services are going to want to increase the drama, and of course the higher the ranking of the player in involved the more drama the situations. 2, the recruiting services are going to see Saban's success at LSU and assume it is in large part because of his ability to judge talent (which I don't think is particularly true) - thus, they will be inclined to overrate their recruits. 3, Bama wants to make it look like they are having immediate success & will exert some power to do so.
