A great moment in LSU history. The game is on the line with almost impossible odds. LSU finds a way to win on shear will. Thanks for the post.
My dad was watching this game. He's a grad from Tulane Law, used to be a big green wave fan. (He doesn't much follow them anymore, and he's an off and on LSU fan because of me.) After the goal line stand, he laughed and said, "For as long as I've watched football, LSU has had good luck when it really counted more than any other team." What a magnificent defensive stand.
"For as long as I've watched football, LSU has had good luck when it really counted more than any other team." Really ? I think just the opposite, see Iowa game, Auburn game, Several Arkansas games. I cannot think of a team that has lost more games on just dumb luck plays. I would hardly call that luck, sure had MSU tossed the ball, but that was far from luck that was just pure stones by LSU.
