First, we had no timeouts. Secondly, time did run out! I saw the backjudge wave his arms, indicating the 1 second had run off the clock, just before the ball was snapped. I also noticed that the referee also waved the play off. The only real chance we had is if JJ had a play, pre set and had gone to the line and immediately ran that play. That would have had to be called before the long pass to Tolliver and should have been decided during the previous time out, but that's a stretch. There was no way they could have gotten the FG team down to the goal line and snapped the ball before time ran out, in my opinion.
From the end of the play til the chains were reset 28 secs passed....if Miles would have had the FG unit right there during the timeout then there would have been plenty of time to kick it.
We should have kicked the field goal from the 30. This was the worst loss in the history of LSU football...and it's all on coach Miles...ALL on coach Miles.
Yep. And while we will appreciate the 2007 NC, this game will tarnish Miles' legacy here in BR for the rest of his days.
You mean UAB? And even so, what kind of team was it and what kind of seasons were we coming off of? Kinda funny: EDSBS
