I just googled it and saw back in 01 it was July 20-27 for most teams, and in 05 pretty much the same thing.

I agree. Even before Katrina N.O. has never really been considered a major market for sports. It was lucky to get the Saints.

The park in Corpus is way cool, much the way the Dell in Round Rock is. I'm gonna arrange some work down there this year and finally get to see a game there. I watched the park being built, just haven't been able to make a game. As for Round Rock, will be interesting to see if Richard Hidalgo ends up here this season. Stros signed him to a minor league contract about a month ago. If he's in the lineup, fans better pay attention as he could hurt someone if he uncorks a wild one from right field :hihi: (I assume his arm is still strong).

We went to Round Rock for Nationals last year- Fast Pitch Softball. Pretty country.......amazing the deer and doves everywhere. I was talking to the coach of one of the Round Rock teams and he told me the city had contracted someone to trap and relocate deer.

Damned deer are a nuisance. Gotta watch for 'em all the time, especially at night. And not just out in the country, they're everywhere. As for the doves, I usually have about 15-20 whitewings in my yard every day.

On TV news last nite, I saw a story about a local golf course that is having a hell of a time with wild hogs. They come out at night, rooting up the fairways, greens and such. Having to get a guy to trap 'em. Reporter asked him what he was gonna do with them since he's catchin' quite a few. He said he'd probably sell 'em since he already had his freezer full. I'm guessin' he's a coonass. :hihi:

When I was reading your post I was laughing, thinking how there'd never be that problem where I live (Evangeline Parish). We've had people fined for shooting squirrels in town- grown men.
