That would be great but I don't see the city supporting it. It was a stretch before Katrina, now it's virtually impossible.
I think they were a Nationals organization for the last two years. Prior to that, they were in the 'Stros farm league. Interestingly, they only lost the Astros gig when Nolan Ryan got that park built in Corpus Christi (thereby creating the new AA team.)
yes and its great if you're at the office when some great day games are happening like the cubs. ok not great but games we usually end up just listening to. the streams are sometimes sketchy and will piss you off but you do have archives to all games played and can watch at your convenience. even postseason. its worth it but the MLB extra innings package sort of cancels it out. not sure if thats available on cable but it is on directv.
From Februrary to September is a long, long time for me. Don't like baseball. Hockey's only good in the late playoffs. So's basketball, except LSU basketball. Thank God for rugby.
It's particulary tough for me since I don't really care for any other sports besides football except for golf. From September till the end of November I'm either on my couch or at Tiger Stadium.
September-January - FOOTBAW February - Super Bowl - NSD - Combines March-April - Draft talk/Draft May - Mini Camps June-July - UGH August-September - Training camps/Collegefootball preseason mags 2 months of the year with no football. Watch the NBA Finals through June and it's just July your stuck with.
I thought most of July was training camps with August being preseason games. So that would leave only June as being short on football activity. And if you have NFL Network, Feburary-April can be quite exciting in anticipation of who your favorite team will draft. Looks like they do a bangup job of covering every angle.
