Of course we're never too far away from the Great Sport. However, as there are fewer and fewer games on, and only the Draft to offer hope, I think my mind is adjusting well. For example, I was more than eager to yap on the other thread about the 'Stros like it's the biggest story of the day. And last night, I was genuinely excited to see doubleheader of NBA on TNT in HD tonight. Of course I'm not a fan of the Mavs/Bulls/Clippers/Nets, but that's not the point. Finally the NBA is back on track with a great product on the court, and the league is awash with talent. I'm not saying the offseason will be easy. But with the strength and guidance of MLB and NBA, I think I can pull through. Oh, and the 414 mock drafts between now and April will help more than they'll ever know.
Yeah, Astros baseball is enough to cover my sports fix once LSU sports have wrapped up. Does anyone have the MLB WebTV package? I'm thinking about dropping some money on it this year.
I bought it for a month in sept 04, the first magical run by the Astros (where the Cubs went into total meltdown mode the last week of the season). It was ok at best, I was not happy with it semi-streaming. I am not sure if more RAM makes a difference, but if it does, make sure you have 1 Gig.
baseball.....ugh.... I've got my New Orleans Voodoo season tickets to keep me occupied until College Football Preview magazines come out...
you fellas in metairie have the fantastic new option of seeing the almost-mets at zephyr field. i bet you might catch pedro martinez down there in a rehab start this summer.
of course not, they used to affiliated with some other loser team (the nationals?). now they are a met affiliate so they will actually be interesting.
Yea, they've been the Nationals the past few years. Don't think I've attended a game in that regime. I used to love when they were affiliated with the Astros.
