Glad to see at least a little bit of optimism coming from isltl and very good point regarding the bye week before and after. I had not noticed it before. Wonder was it planning or just luck.
I don't think anyone in their right minds wants their bye weeks 2 weeks apart. That makes absolutely no sense.
Saban and miles schedule their bye weeks prior to this game each yr bc of its importance in rankings and recruiting.
The bye weeks were the only way the schedule makers could even attempt to make up for giving Alabama and A&M a free ride throughout the SEC.
So the LSU administration made this decision you're proposing? While the OOC schedule has been cumbersome from some teams to set with the bridge schedule it was an in-house decision—by both schools—not to schedule an OOC team last weekend. TCU was a set game—pre-arranged if you will. While I don't know the specifics on how the agreements were reached with Kent St., UAB, and Furman (I don't recall them be slated for games in 2014 or beyond) the LSU admin. had a choice of five weekends to have the bye week.
I think this LSU team wants revenge for the New Orleans beat down............oh, and last year too!!!
Oh, well then since the LSU administration scheduled the bye weeks, then LSU had to do this because the SEC home office fucked us, and gave Bama and A&M a patsy schedule. You just made a better case for Birmingham fucking us, thanks.
