Unfortunately, I think this years Seniors kind of "mailed in" this year as soon as Miles dismissed Perrilloux. Deep down they knew the ability of Hatch and Lee as Qb and figured Jefferson wouldn't play.

Did they start thinking about their "draft status" when things turned for the worse?

I mean how in the world can guys like Beckwith, T. Jackson, C. Alexander, M. Favorite, D. Byrd, H. Johnson, etc. have such a bad year? The D. lines AND the Off. Lines were ranked NUMBER 1 in the Country in pre-season. Can Two Def. Coordinators be THAT bad?

I'm hoping next year's Seniors have a lot more leadership, but the one guy that has a spark in his butt (Alem) does a Charlie Brown kick that gives Ark. 15 yards. I don't see Ciron Black as a leader - too soft spoken.

    Maybe Charles Scott? Anyone else?

You left out Curtis Taylor, who continues to get benched and play terribly.

22 defensive coordinators should not have an effect on the O line. You could be right, that the Seniors just wrote it off after RP was kicked off the team, BUT if that's true, all they did was blow their chances for good NFL draft position and $$$. There were a few of them that were highly regarded by NFL before the season. Probably not so much now.

MAYBE the 2 def coordinators hurt the D line some. I don't know. What I do know is that as a group they were much less fierce than everyone thought they would be. Wonder why? Really - I just can't believe they underachieved so badly. Was it because of the men who played behind them on the field? :geaux:

I really don't think you can be serious here.
Actually I really wish people would quit talking about Perrilloux.
I believe he was overrated and I haven't heard of anything about him with Jackson State or wherever he went.
I will give him credit for not losing the game to Tennessee last year but that is about it.
He really didn't play any better than JJ did today.

I don't know, I can agree with this and my only excuse is terrible coaching.
The whole coaching staff had to have a bad year this year.
You have to also look at the QB situation, injuries and bad QB play.
We lost Hatch for the year I believe?
May 09 be better, I pray!:)

Yeah, what the heck happened to Curtis Taylor? That guy digressed horribly, not to mention he's forgotten how to tackle.
