I think it's safe to say that the majority of us will be pulling for UF in the SEC champ game. If somehow Bama can pull off the win against UF, I personally can't bring myself to pull for the fighting elephants in the NC game. SEC brotherhood is out the window for me on this one.
If this planet were invaded by aliens, and they told us.... "the only way we will spare your planet is if the Alabama football team, can beat us in a game of football." I would cheer for the aliens.
An interesting question. The Spikes eye gouge and subsequent wimp suspension by meyer really soured me on those guys. For the most part I find their fans to be the most tolerant. They respect us as much or more than anyone they play each year. For bama I don't see any punks on their team and I really don't give a crap about saban. But reading a number of internet posts from their fans have disturbed me. From their inability to admit the truth of a bad call(regardless of any supposed final outcome) to the nearly gleeful manner in which many have celebrated "knocking out so many LSU players". The sheer numbers laughing over this really surprised me. Makes you wonder what happened to the toast, "let's a have a tough, injury-free game". I have a lot of longhorn fans as friends also, and think they run a good program. Looks like I just talked myself in a circle. May have to ponder this one awhile...
I will be pulling for UF the rest of the way. I stated in the Hate Bama fans thread last week that I hated Bama, but after having to listen to the puke flowing from some of their mouths over the past few days, I hate them even more. They have some of the lowest class group of fans I have ever encountered. It's one thing to win with grace, it's another to kick the losing team in the face. They won, great, but they didn't really beat us in a totally fair fight. The intelligent fan would not be satified with winning the way they did. Could they have won the game regardless of the bad call, maybe, but unfortunately noone will ever know. For 3 qtrs we out coached and capitalized on their mental errors, there is no way to say one way or the other how that game would have turned out had the right call been made. For them to think they dominated us, and to rationalize that the right call was made, just makes them look bad. Especially since the rest of the college football fans of the world think otherwise. The only people impressed with Bama's win over us, is Bama. The public opinion is not the same, and the polls show it. Bama, your days are numbered and karma is a biotch. Be prepared for all the feet that will be stepping on you on your way back down. I for one will be stomping the hardest.
If either team gets in, why pull for gump cheaters or the UF arrogant coach and his thugs. BTW, you don't see the Big 12 refs pulling that crap week in and week out. As painful as it will be, hook 'em ya boy McCoy.
