I was only half listening to Mortenson awhile ago, but it seemed like he was saying there are certain types of that class of steroid that are OK by the league, and that the players will have the opportunity to prove that they were taking one of those. Something along those lines, where its not truly an open-and-shut case against them.
By the way, have any other names been released that anyone has found? Seems strange that only the Saints on the list have been "outed."
The only other names that i saw on the espn talkback section was Ben Utrecht and Warrick Dunn. No clue if those are accurate though.
I am KIND OF happy that its Smith and Grant. Perhaps this will lead to dropping those contracts that they DO NOT DESERVE!!!
It is kind of funny that this drug will hang them with steroids despite not finding any steroids. I know it's not allowed but it just seems a bit presumptuous to me. When the state trooper pulled me over last week, opened my trunk and discovered rubber gloves, a shovel, and a 50 lb bag of lye, it didn't mean I was a murderer. I mean, not really.
it's banned because other than covering up steroids, it lets you cut weight really, really fast, which is a competitive advantage, especially if you're hurt or something and need to get back in shape. I don't make the rules. But it's on the list... just find and use something that isn't.
