Great post. The last two years have been frustrating PRECISELY for this reason. So close to being very good. But so unpredictably bad at times...

I think there are 100 times more people that just don't like Miles and want anyone else, anyone but Saban.

I personally don't know anyone that wants Saban back.

Is he a great coach? Yes, he'll go down as one of the best college football coaches ever. But the lack of integrity goes far beyond anything he can accomplish on the field with his team.

That's because you live in Florida.

Did you complain about Saban "lack of integrity" when he left Michigan State high and dry to come to LSU? He might be a prick to the media. He is not all that fan friendly. Is Miles all that fan friendly? Have you ever told one of your employers that you might be leaving for a better paying job before you were certain that the new job was in your pocket? Thats the way the game is played in bigtime college and pro football. And in real life on every level. Would you be accused of a lack of integrity if one day you told your boss in south Florida " I quit. I got a better offer from the Southern California TechnoGeeks Corporation." Would anybody care enough to post it on an internet message board?

You must split time between here and TOS, and have the two confused. Quit running down TigerForums. Just because someone disagrees with you doesn't mean "there are many 12 and 13 year olds on here that think they own the board". In fact, I challenge you to name one...one.

The rest of your post was fine, but no need to be so confrontational, especially unprovoked in this thread.

***Welcome to the board, Gold Nugget. Your last name wouldn't happen to be "n99", would it?

There is a right way to do it and a wrong way. No one can sit here and say that Saban left right. Even when asked, he said NO. Then throws it on us right before the bowl game.

The right thing to do would have been to tell us what he was considering. No one would have blamed him for higher dreams of the NFL. In fact, I don’t know anyone who could be mad at the man for wanting to leave.

It is not WHAT he did, rather HOW he did it.

Though I can guarantee that if you just leave a job at that high of a pay grade with no notice, your bridges will be burnt.

For me, and others, I am sure most of us got over it the very next season. I know I have never looked back.

Saban is a great coach, but so are others and I think LSU lucked out TWICE in the 2000's. Just like Saban, you either like Miles or Hate him, but no one can deny his record and what he CONTINUED TO GIVE LSU.

In all, If Miles shows up next week with a team that is competing like it should, it doesn’t matter who is coaching Bama of UF, LSU will win….

Even if it's Miles time to go, LSU has big moeny for a coach, but the chances to 3-peat are slim and we should all take note....

That is exactly the point. In order to be logical we would have to improve on what we have. Not to say Miles is the greatest coach in the world, but the list ahead of him is very short, and I don't see any of them being or becoming available. An up and coming coach will not due, it has to be someone who is proven, so who?
