These people are a disturbing faction of LSU 'fans". Whereas their numbers are few, there are too many of them. Its like child-molestors. Nationwide, there aren't very many of them (thank goodness),but one is too many. LSU message boards and call-in shows have a disturbing number of "fans" who not only want to dismiss Miles, they can't get over Nick Saban not being in Baton Rouge anymore. Now with Saban doing so well at Alabama, these people can't see straight. Its bad enough that there seem to be people who pretend to be LSU fans who appear to want LSU to lose under Miles. But even if they get there way and Miles leaves sometime soon, as long as Saban is in Tuscaloosa, they won't give the new guy a shot either. Life is too short. These people just need to give in to their mancrushes on Saban and just pull for the Tide.
i'm gonna give you a pass because it's your first post, and i do agree with you, but you saying that is like coming on here to tell us the Earth isn't flat. And i have a feeling some will not be near as nice. Welcome anyway :geauxtige
While there are some who are this way, and if you stay on this forum for any length of time, they will appear, there are also many people who just aren't big Miles fans. But the majority of fans like and wish Miles the best. That doesn't mean that he doesn't have faults, for he certainly does. But as a whole, he's done a lot for LSU, just as Saban did while he was here. As far as the new guy, I think you're probably right.
Welcome to the board, post often. Give us your thoughts on the 2010 Tigers and join some of the discussions.
it's like you can see the future. all miles (or the coach who succeeds him) has to do, is beat saban consistently. that's all. welcome btw, post early and often.
There are 2 Sabanistas in my group of regulars. They are exactly as GoldNugget describes. They are incapable of enjoying the buildup to game 1 because of their Saban lust. I just tell them to come and see me when Miles gets beat by ULM.
Given 2 of LSU's worst teams of the decade vs. 2 of Bamas best and the results were an OT victory and a narrow 4th quarter escape, I'd say the TIDE will turn shortly!!!
