Welcome to the thread for tonight's game, Saints vs. Da Bears. it's a must win for both to stay in the playoff hunt. it's also on some black hole of a channel... If in da U.S. (and maybe outside da u.s.) you may be able to see the game here: http://www.nfl.com/live if outta da u.s, I will have radio tonight, but the snow has really f'ed with da cable today, so no visuals. see ya in 25 min.
Thanks, PodKATT. I'll take whatever I can get. I'll check out the NFLN online, but I would be really surprised if they show the game outside the US on there. However, listening is better than nothing, so thank you for the broadcast.
Wire Pregame: password whodat I'm working on the static. nah, dey could win tonight, just not keeping my hopes up. It's already snowed today, so the freaky quotient has been filled for the month.
I hope the Saints win tonite , because they might end up in the playoffs if they do. Chicago 31, New Orleans 16 Brees needs to average 300 ypg these next 3 games to get to 5000. I think he can get 250 tonite, he'll easily get 350 vs Detroit to compensate. Then it's all up to the Carolina game at home to see if he gets there and breaks Marino's record. Brees needs to average 328 to tie Marino's record. He is currently averaging just under 316 ypg.
he'll probably get more passing tonight than against Detroit. 21+ point leads usually dictate smaller passing games. If they struggle tonight, he will air it out 50+ times. The Bears have a weaker pass defense than they do run defense. I can see Payton trying to run once, having it not work, then giving up on it completely. He's good at putting his team in bad positions by being unbalanced.
yeah I know most of the country doesn't catch NFL Network, but the picture quality of their HD is better than just about anyone else out there.
Payton will have Brees try to throw for 500 against Detroit if he has to do it to break the record. This is Payton's record as much as it is Brees'. He wants it that badly.
If the Saints win tonight and are still alivei n the playoffs and Payton intentionally puts his QB at risk against a team with nothing to lose, he's dumber than I thought he was.
