It depends what does intrest you.
I think we should be drilling everywhere there's oil or gas. Liberals don't.
I don't think the cross in Nevada set up in the 1920's as a memorial to ww1 soilders should have been taken down. Liberals do.
I think every kid should say the pledge every morning at school. Some liberals say it's offensive. I have never heard a conservative say that.
I think the goverment is too big and needs to be scaled back to what it was at least fifty years ago. Most liberals want the goverment involved in everything. Example in new York city they want to regulate how much salt resturants can use and in California they outlawed happymeals. Too much goverment intrusion in peoples lives.
I want the boarders sealed. Liberals fight aginst this as in Arizona.
I think too many people get a free ride from the goverment. Liberals mostly vote for things such as free cell phones for poor people. Why do I have to pay for someone else's damn cell phone?
I support the military 100%. Liberals picket ROTC programs at colleges and marine Corp recruiting offices. This really gets to me.
I feel abortions ,especially late term abortions of children that will be disabled like my boy is, are wrong. Liberals mostly do not.
This is why I vote conservitive. This is how I was raised. People who vote liberal see things diffrently. That's cool. This is america and you have that right. In other countries they kill each other over disagreements. I vote how I feel as do others but to say I vote aginst my own intrest is not correct.

This is why I gave a broad answer. Do you feel like you know what's better for you and your life than I do? Of course you do.

I'm not losing this argument and I'll stop complaining about Obama in January 2013 when he goes back to being a community organizer.

too much fun watchin you two make 8 pages of posts arguing the same thing over and over.

as far as govt pay checks in a shut down....

maybe military gets paid. civil service does not. i guess military is exempt from any shutdown or furloughs or missing pay. which is how it should be.

but for civil service, here is the fun kick. if a civil service employee wants to just be a good person, and go to work without pay to get things done and try to keep govt running (which congress seems to not give a rats ass about), they can't. so much so that these same jackasses that are gonna let govt shut down have written laws that if these concerned employees do try to work, they can be fined $5,000 a day for doing so. yep, lets just kick a good employee who wants to make sure their job gets done so they can't work, even for free for a while.

greenie works for the feds and his agency has been told that his agency's interpretations of this law are so tight, that if he uses his govt issue laptop and logs in to his secure work email from home during a shut down, he can be fined. so not only can he not go in to work, he can't even check his work email to take care of any problems that arise. same for using his govt issued phone. no calls can be made from it or he can be fined.
