I don't know for sure, but I suspect the military will still run as normal and you'll be fine. And thanks BTW. But to address your other points, I don't like it anymore than you do, and I let them know about it fairly often.

Of course! I've been campaigning against the tax cuts all along. You are the one who insists that I hate the rich.

You always want me to shut up when you're losing an argument. I don't blame you.

Does this mean you're going to stop whimpering about Obama on every other post? Practice what you preach, amigo.

Red why do you think people in this country seem to vote against their own best interests?

I'm guessing he means all of the working class people who vote for the party that is almost at war with the middle class, stripping away enviormental and food protections, worker safety, etc.

This is a total misconception. No one ever intentionally votes against their best interests. Who decides what's against their best interests anyway. This is economics and politics. When is causation ever clear?

The bottom line is, people disagree on what's in their best interest.

So why do people disagree on what's in their best interest? That's the right question to ask.

Perhaps they feel like they have a better grip on what their own interests are than you or anyone else does?

That question could be asked about either side of the fence.

It's a broad question, it goes for everyone. What luvdimtigers said, and on the other side as well.

Lets take my grandmother for example. She has voted republican since I can remember. But she is on medicare, and draws social security. Now she worked basically her whole life, and paid in, so she deserves it. But she also votes for the people who want to end entitlements, which in turn, would kind of screw her over.

Also goes for alot of famous people and business owners who constantly vote democrat. If the democrats had their way, these are the exact people (if they are an A lister or have a successful business) who the democrats would go after for taxes.
