there is no causal connection between being poor and fat. they have exactly the same access to healthy food. fat people are lazy, thats the connection. again, it is a myth that healthy food is expensive. it just isnt. i dunno why this myth is so pervasive. i guess fatties dont like to be blamed.
thats not true either. there are blighted neighborhoods where the only food nearby is at the bodega. so they eat dinty moore and pop tarts. but yes, fat people are lazy. tons of not fat people are lazy too though
Nope. Heard it on the radio the other day. Some student, K-State perhaps, don't really remember but anyway, kid ate for a month nothing but food from 7-11. Maintained a certain calorie count, 3500 I think it was but all donuts, sugar cereals, honey buns, doritos that type of crap. Lost like 30 lbs. I'm sure he wasn't all that healthy for it and probably didn't have the energy to beat my 4 yr old in arm wrestling but he did it. Lost weight.
yeah no one should ever be expected to shop at anywhere but the nearest bodega. i actually ride my bike a couple miles past a ton of grocery stores to the one that is my favorite. but i am like a magical hero and poor people could never be as awesome. they cant be expected to do anything but stumble their fatasses to the bodega to buy a sack of twix.
there was a professor (of nutrition i think) that recently ate nothing but twinkies for a month and lost weight. but you know people dont have to eat at all and they will lose weight. are we talking about reality here or not. the vast majority of people, likely including you and me, would eat less healthy food and gain weight if you had no car and the nearest decent food was miles away.
i dont have a car. i am more than happy to walk a few miles. nothing is more relaxing than walking to the store. i walk to the grocery store or ride my bike when i want to go to the better one further away. and i eat reasonably well and i am healthier than 99% of people in america. there is no such place as the one you describe, the neighborhood where healthy eating is difficult. stop acting like everything is so hard. it isnt. you can even get healthy food at the bodega if you want. i have been to basically every neighborhood in new york. the black ones, the latin ones. its always possible to find more healthy food than anyone requires. even street vendors serve relatively healthy chicken kabobs. freaking 7/11 has little packaged chef salads. again, i dunno how many times i have to say this. show me a poor fatty. give me their food money. i will make them healthy as hell and return some of their money. in fact, dont even give me their money, give me their food before they eat it. will cut it in half and chuck half of it in the garbage. person is instantly way healthier. everything you say is wrong and counterproductive. people listen to idiots like you and believe that things are beyond their control. even unhealthy food isnt so bad if we didnt eat such ludicrous amounts of it. i am positive i could be healthy by eating only at mcdonalds. i would have diet coke and milk and an occasional cheeseburger. almost never any fries. tons of chicken salads. proper portions. i would be ripped. this is such an absurd lie. it just isnt true what you are saying.
I have a friend that weighs 260 and is only about 5'7. He coaches baseball and football. He is always doing something. He is very active but also fat. His parents are short and heavy. He was born that way. Genetics have a part in a small percentage of heavy people.
of course genetics play a role. but your friend also eats way, way, way too much. modern americans have an obscene idea of what a proper portion is. and we are not magical perpetual motion machines that consume no energy and just get fat. we will be thin if we eat right, no matter who you are. i hear fat people claim they cant get get skinny. so stupid. that is a lie 100% of he time. what they mean is that are lazy fat sacks of lard and love cheetos. and that is fine. being lazy and loving cheetos is awesome. but dont claim you cant get thin. of course you can. saying a fat person cant get skinny is exactly as untrue as claiming a you cant drive a car enough to use up the gas. stop filling up the tank so much!
This is true. He eats a 8 pcs popeyes darkmeat for lunch about three times a week. He also eats way too much. He claims the dr said his brain doesn't recognize the signals from his stomach that he is full. But it's also true that his parents and siblings are also very heavy.
