It's really more about logisitics than how big-hearted we want to be in all honesty. We would be better served by providing financial aid to have them taken in by nations closer to their homeland. Am I sympathetic to them for losing their homes because of a religious war? Sure, it's hard not to be. Realistically, we can't bring them here.....no more than we can round up 11 million people and ship them to Mexico.
Send some money and food but don't let them in the USA. Obama has already proposed letting another 5,000 over quota in. Next he will be giving them money to open a convenience store in your town.

I'm right there with you on this. Let the super rich Middle East nations take care of them. It is fucking ironic that the Western world is evil to them until they need a place to stay.
