If I was going to risk ejection over hitting someone, I would dam sure mske it count. Not sure what he was thinking with those soft punches.
he’s got to at least try. i don’t think he’ll be successful, because that would set a precedent the SEC (or any conference for that matter) doesn’t want set. but he needs to at least put up a fight.
I agree on all. But, this whole situation begs the question... where is the line drawn? I mean, someone posted a video in this thread of a similar incident where it didn't get called but should have. It almost seems like an opportunity was taken where LSU could be stung for the Alabama game. And the refs wasted no time clearing the field afterward. Something about this whole situation seems off to me. I've been watching football since I was a little kid and I've never seen so much controversy over calls as we see today. And this call in particular brings attention to the need for clarity on situations like this. To some, maybe this isn't a big deal... and I partially agree. On the whole though, the level of punishment for this call seems unfair and too much. And the more blatant targeting calls (like the video that was posted here) being missed. None of this shit is funny to me. The 2 guys "posing" in the end zone was stupid considering the damage those players ALREADY know can happen from doing it. Sure, it was late in the game and probably wouldn't have hurt them. TD dances and quick celebrations with your team mates is one thing.
Would this ever happen in a million years? Tua throws a first quarter interception to Depit. Tua makes the tackle and is ejected for targeting.
