The real issue here is that Giles is a liability any time he is on the field. He is a subpar WR and a poor returner, not just on a run back, but also in his judgement.

I like the idea of having a number #7 handed down from one major playmaker to the next. It could inspire others to up their level of play, to aspire to be like the guys who wore or wear #7. Nothing wrong with that.

To most people it’s just a # on a jersey, but to the guys who could potentially wear it, it might mean more.

I like Bama’s approach. Wear EVERY PHUCKIN number with inspiration, every play, every day. Give me any number and let ME make it special would be my approach if I played. Phuck a number; play the phuckin game.

They should take the # off and just put the name on there, "At RB LSU will have #Hester"! The dude was the "A-10" of FB players to me!

Wasn't calling you out. Its just that this "tradition of number 7" has grown legs and I've never understood it.

I don’t even remember who wore it before Peterson.

Ali Highsmith. He was one of 3 who wore it in 2004 as I mentioned.

Chad Jones wore it. So did Bert Jones and Allen Risher.
