Who said that? I thought about that last night and I think it's a possibility, but I would not be surprised at all if JJ is the starter for the rest of the season.
All of this is well said. People just have trouble with the idea of benching a guy who is 9-0 as a starter. He didn't just lose the start, he was relegated to mop-up duty. Just like that.
If this was a disciplinary move, fine. But why keep that a secret, especially now that its over? Why let it balloon into rumors of a QB controversy if its not true. My take: Miles has wanted to start JJ since he removed the suspension, and JLee's Bama performance finally gave him the excuse to pull the trigger.
I think Miles thought this was the one game left where he could evaluate JJ in a starting role. Problem was game stayed closer than they thought it would. Also think the plan was to put things on tape, hence the role reversals, that will make our next two opponents have to take even more pause in their prep. Disciplinary issues may have played a part as well.
