This program and fanbase need to be energized by something. It's gonna be in their heads, in our heads. When the same shit continues to happen, it gets harder and harder to overcome it. Something needs to happen, something in the offseason, something big to lift the spirits, because spirits around this program haven't been this low since the 90's. Everything has taken a hit. The LSU brand has suffered a huge hit, and the head coach acting like a beaten dog through 3 of the last 4 weeks doesn't help. The administration being a bunch of pussies doesn't help. LSU is broken ladies and gentlemen. I don't know how you come back from this without making major changes. You know, at first I didn't think this bowl game was important but the more I think of it, it's very important, it's not gonna do much if LSU wins this game, but if LSU loses this game, things could really spiral out of control, more so than they already have.
No, I'd go more with Saban preparation. Unless someone could point out to me Frieze or Bielema doing the same thing.
QB play is the biggest issue. That goes back to coaching. Either we aren't recruiting the right guys or we aren't developing them. Earlier in the season, many were saying that Harris just had to be an average QB. I think Harris was very much that and you see what happened. I think we need better than that. We don't need Drew Brees, but if you are only completing 55% of your passes against the directional schools, I think it's safe to say that you are gonna have trouble against Bama and those types of schools. Your completion percentage should be 60%-65%. Look at Coker's numbers. That's what we need.
We only need an average QB if you have a normal offense. In Les Miles offense it really doesn't matter how good your QB is.
No, its The Process. I can still remember Lynn Swann during the '03 championship game saying that he had attended LSU's walk-through the day before, and he had never seen a college team that seemed so well-prepared for a game. Minute attention to detail is one of Saban's calling cards. Having said that, I won't argue that Miles offense is "See Spot run...run, Spot, run!" football.
I think you could say we didn't get average output from our QB; some of that (maybe more) is on Miles/Cameron.
Average would be what around 50th in the country? Harris was 2nd to last in the SEC, a league with poor QB play all over it, and I would think 80-120th in the nation. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
