According to ncaa.com, based on passing yards, Harris was 9th in the SEC. In Passing Efficiency, he was 8th. Nationally, he ranked 82nd and 71st respectively. The passing yards is not an indicator in Les Miles' offense. But before the Bama game, Harris was in the top 3 in the SEC in QB rating and the top 30 nationally. After week 7 he imploded along with the OL. Though I've lost some confidence in him, Harris still has a lot of upside. Even though he stunk it up the last few weeks, it's still hard for me to pin it all on the players when they have this coaching staff.
Only one thing going to register on the purple and gold Richter scale- empty seats. Empty UNPAID seats.
Don't see that happening any time soon. Half the people in the stands now aren't even football fans. They are there to see and be seen, leave at the end of the 3rd quarter and go party. Many couldn't tell you if we are winning or losing when they leave. It will take a couple more bad seasons to flush them out. As long as it's cool to say you go to the games, they'll be there.
I had some chick sitting behind me at the Florida game that couldn't figure out who "that Fournette guy" is... She was telling her friends that she thought he was #77 and he's supposed to be pretty good
And if I'm not mistaken, there is a waiting list for season tickets. You'll have to burn through that, too.
I agree completely. The avid KNOWLEDGEABLE fan base of Tiger Stadium has been gone for years. I tell people that stadium rocked more when it was only 68,000 and no upper decks. I was there for USC game in '79. It was a near religious experience- west upper deck was there.
