To an extent, if this was completely true he would have been much better his first year starting. He was still better than Harris appears to be at this point. Not defending Miles and Cam here but they do deserve some credit for his improvement. You can't overlook that he was also throwing to two future above average NFL players. How many circus catches did those guys make? Especially Landry. Dupree dropped a lot if balls that he should have caught. The throws were bad but still catchable.
Not something you normally have to say to a junior QB who's logged that many miles on the field. To be fair, I just think Miles should have given the offense a fresh look. Just go out there with his resources and hire an OC with fresh ideas. Plenty of pro style coordinators that would love to work with the talent down there. But Miles has been so successful. I mean he just set the bar for OOC wins at 52. That is an amazing stat and one that may be there a while.
The difference with Mett was that he had REAL qb coaching before he came to LSU. I have 0 confidence he would've developed into the qb he became if CLM would've had him from day 1.
Fair statement. Clearly, I overestimated Brandon's potential. But I refuse to believe Les did it because of fan pressure. If he responded to us fans, we might have a different look to our offense right now.
