How can anybody seriously doubt that he spoke inappropriately to a Gold Star wife, even if it was unintentional? He commits these sorts of semantic mistakes time and time and time again... it's the mark of a buffoon, unable to express himself as would an intelligent person. What he ACTUALLY meant to say yesterday was "the press makes me out to be more uncivil than I am", which has a different meaning, altogether, from what he actually said. And, as if that's not bad enough, he went on to argue that he's not uncivil by boasting how intelligent he is, having attended an Ivy League school as his evidence, while ironically confirming that he's NOT intelligent because "uncivil" and "intelligent" are neither antonyms nor mutually exclusive.

For one thing, the Podesta Group is singular and had nothing to do with Hillary's campaign, so the statement "shifted to Democrats" is highly disingenuous. For another, do you know what "shift to" means? It implies a "shift from", as in "shift from Manafort, Flynn, and the Trump campaign." Keep dreaming.
