Besides LSU showing the nation how to play 3 stooges defense, I "positive"ly think the coaches lost control of the game by keeping Lee in the game past the 0-7 string. Crowton is not a wizard. Wizards don't call games that we have to come from behind on every opponent. He seems to start calling the game correctly after half time. Look at all of our come from behind games since he's been here. The difference this year is our "D" is "confused" so we never catchup. GA could not stop the run up the middle so we throw on 4th and 4 at the end with a QB who's game rating is below 10? Nice call! Crowton, try calling the game from the 4th quarter backwards. Maybe we can get a big lead for a change? When is the last time LSU had a big lead going into half time since he's been here? Can't answer huh. What's up with Helms hiking the ball to Lee's thigh before the snap count a couple times a game? Mental lapses? Our O-line is not playing well at all. Let's beat BAMA and get ready for any bowl!
I'm positive that I will be an LSU fan for the rest of my life. :thumb: (And I'm also positive that I will finish drinking this here bottle of wine.)
hats off to this team for fighting all the way to the end. our defense gave up big plays, i would rather lose blitzing the hell out of a team, then sit back and let em pick us apart. our linebacker play is pathetic. and what do you expect out of a young secondary. honestly dont throw this one on the defense. 2 pick 6's were the difference, and yes Jaret Lee threw them, but what the hell was crowton thinking calling passing plays on first down, i understand that sometimes on first down its a smart thing to call a pass play to surprise the defense, maybe using playaction out of the I formation, but 5 wide on the first play??? And then that bonehead pass play on first down when we were running the ball down georgia's throat?? They could not stop the run, they couldnt stop anything we stopped ourselves, and we gave that game away. Congrats to Georgia and matt stafford who played a hell of a game, but we may as well have gift wrapped that one with a big pretty bow. 17 points off of turnovers. there is your game right there. but i like this team for fighting all the way to the end. i was proud to be an LSU tiger today for the heart that this team showed.:geauxtige
I am positive that I agree with both of these excellent observations. I am also positive that I should not have drank a cup of coffee to end the evening.
Assuming you're just disallowing App St and North Texas. National Championship game we were up by 14 at half. But seriously, we're playing some quality defenses with a really raw, QB that makes mistakes. We ain't gonna blow these teams out.
