i don't know tiger personally, obviously, but I sensed it would be a long week when on Tues, he was talking about how he was homesick and how he didn't even bring any pictures of his little girl with him, because he would want to go home, etc... etc... He is only 4 shots back of the main pack at the moment, though. I mean, yeah, Sergio is -6, but the next closest guy is -3, so he just needs to catch them first, then let Sergio choke on his own.
Sergio still hanging in (that is until Boo spits some beechnut in his eye and takes it)... Sergio will more than likely blow it, but he just looks different this week. He has some confidence like Ive never seen. And dont count out Furyk.
a guy no one is talking about that I like is Weir. I literally didn't even know he was doing well until about his 16th hole today, because TNT was blackballing him for some reason. If the rains do indeed come tomm, Angel Cabrera, the US Open champ becomes a favorite, because he is a phenominal "weather" player.
I like Tiger as much as anybody, but TNT showed way too much of Tiger at the expense of others in contention like Weir.
I can't wait to see Sergio blow this one. He deserves as much. I like Furyk a lot. So if Woods can't win it, then of course I want an American to do it, and Furyk is playing so well now that he could definitely pull it off.
No doubt about it. I'm thrilled that Sergio is in the lead, as it will make his collapse noteworthy. At some point tomorrow or Sunday, he's going to realize this isn't the Ryder Cup and quintuple bogey a hole. I can go with Furyk if Tiger or Boo don't win. I don't get into the degenerate gambling aspect like Tirk, but I can be pro-American. And if not him, then the Argentinean American lookalike is fine too.
a big part of the problem is that stupid "at the turn" crap they show on the top of every hour. I understand the announcers need a little break, but geez, just get some fill-ins. Besides, those guys shouldn't need a break, anyway. No one can lecture me about how hard doing that job really is, either, b/c I have broadcasted before, and it is a cakewalk.
