...aaaaaaaand back to the OP. Expanding on your idea, what you're really talking about is more of a CEO than a coach. Hell, college football is as much business as it is sport now, why not set up the team like a company? The CEO would handle recruiting and PR and basically be the face of the team. Let the offense and defense run as completely separate entities, with the coordinators having total authority over the final on-field product.

Yeah I saw that against the best defense in college football and I also saw the same offense break records that Miles couldn't have dreamed of much less executed.
