    What a way to end 2020 season for LSU LSU-53 Ole Miss-48 QB Max Johnson is one cool cat/a winner WR. K.Boutte is a star. 14-308-3 TD’s Young players fought hard. U got a good pass rush all game & 6 turnovers . had to fight for your life for a W. Defensive staff changes happening

    Spot on. Much of rest of the country was playing it several years prior to the SEC immersing in it. Like it or not it is here for it’s cycle in the ever evolving character of CFB. It seems to be impossible to shut down these offenses and everyone plays for a few 3 and outs in an attempt to get at least 2 scores ahead and try like hell to hang on to it.

    is it largely the same DB coaches from our NC team? if so, then what is the biggest change from that NC team on the defensive side of the ball?

    Biggest change is losing 20 of that team a record number BTW and as far as the secondary losing Vincent, Stinley playing hurt and freshman freshman freshman

    Right.. When I played high school ball we much like most of the teams ran some variation on the Veer/ triple option. Whether that be from the wing t or power I. Most of these high school teams around the country have adapted to 11 personal running the spread. These kids coming out of high school are getting a ton of reps and it an easier transition for them coming into college. With the targeting rule in heavy effect wide receivers aren’t as hesitant catching balls over the middle. The game is evolving. Maybe it’s cyclical but I tend to think more and more teams are adapting to the spread around the SEC. what once was a league of conservative offenses who’s main focuses were ball control and field position have now adapted to scoring at will. Anytime you can corporate 2 minute 4 and 5 play drives your defenses are going to be on the field a lot more causing defenses to fatigue and give opposing teams more film. As an LSU fan I saw it last year under Arranda and with Miss. State and Ole Miss going after coaches like Leach and Kiffin it’s just inevitable.
