I don’t really take issue with the fumble. At best I think you could say borderline, but he didn’t seem to be starting his forward pass. Deserved it for being blindsided.
Danielson lost his fast ball when Verne left for some reason. Re-watch the auburn game. He got everything wrong from plays to penalties even after 3 replays. It was pretty painful. Smart guy. Likes to hear himself talk. He's definitely not an Oeaux believer however. Almost everything he favors in game is not lsu. I think it's the anti-coonass bias affecting his judgment.
