Man he really screwed the Saints by pulling up lame and not coming back. Heard a voice clip of him saying his injury wasn't that serious. So........... you couldn't come back and help your team out with a not so serious injury? Trade this over paid bitch and look for a Percy Harvin type weapon in the draft because Reggie could have been the difference in that game.

I thought they said mild hamstring pull.

Well, first of (refer to the line I bold-faced) Percy Harvin-type weapons aren't all that common. Secondly, the Saints already have one. His name is Reggie Bush, if only the Saints would choose to exploit him in that manner. I've been saying that for 3 years; put him in the slot, throw him screens and short routes under the safeties, hand him the ball on reverses and a trap or two, have him run back kicks and punts. 15 or so touches a game in space, and he might earn his money. That's assuming he stays healthy, and he's unfortunately a lot like Donte' Stallworth (at least RB's never hurt himself stretching before a game) As a classic I-formation tailback, we don't need him.

looked like a hammie when he pulled up lame but looked as if they were treating a cramp on the sideline.

turns out it was pms and they popped him a midol.

You are right, those guys don't come around too often, and don't get me wrong, the dude demands respect when healthy and on his A game and used right. Even as a decoy, but does anyone think he is going to stick around and take a severe decrease in pay, because lets be honest, he hasn't been worth the dough.

So there are 4 possibilities for RB, IMO:

    1. He eats a double helping of humble pie and takes a pay cut to stay with the Saints.

    2. He gets traded to another team, probably at poor value to the Saints, and probably also takes a big pay cut but possibly sees it as saving face because he wouldn't have caved to the prior management.

    3. He takes his chances in free agency, and still takes a pay cut, but probably not as large as in options 1 or 2.

    4. He retires and joins Kim on the reality TV circuit.

NEW ALERT! Reggie's problems have been solved by Kotex.

They now have wings which should help him stay on the field and not fake an injury to cover his embarrassment.

Sorry...I like the guy but damn he's such an over-rated wuss! Once again Reggie...this isn't the Pac-1, this is REAL football!

    1. He could do this, but few players ever easily agree to a huge pay cut. It would have to be huge for him to stay. I'd hope the team will try to renegotiate but his agent won't likely go for it and will advise him to get cut and then go the FA route.

    2. Even if we traded him for "nothing", not many teams can take on that type of salary hit for any player, certainly not for a guy who's not a proven top notch starter at the position. Can you think of a team that needs a running back enough to pay him 8 million in '10 and 11.8 million in '11?

    3. There are still 2 years left on his current contract with the Saints after this season. He's not a free agent until then.

    4. No way he's going to retire. Too much ability and too much to prove. Too much money out there for him somewhere.

BTW, if the Saints retain him for next season, his cap number is 13.5 million in 10 and 16 million in 11. What do you think they're going to do? I can't see any way he remains a Saint after the season. He'll be cut.

No way they cut him; too talented to get nothing in return if they decide not to keep him. If that's the decision, my bet is on letting him work out a deal with another team, while simultaneously negotiating a trade.
